This page explains what this website does with your visit. In short: it counts page requests in aggregate, and it does not track you.

What is counted

When a page of this site is requested, the hosting platform (Google Firebase Hosting) records the request in its standard logs. We do not store those logs. They are counted as they arrive, and only totals are kept: how many times each page was requested, split by broad type of visitor (a web browser, a search or AI crawler such as Googlebot or GPTBot, or other automated software) and, where a visit arrives from an AI assistant such as ChatGPT or Perplexity, which one. When you move between pages of the site, your browser makes a small request for a one-pixel image so that the page view can be counted too.

What is not kept

This site uses no cookies, no accounts or sessions, no fingerprinting, and no advertising or analytics services such as Google Analytics, and its own code stores nothing in your browser. The one exception is a small technical record kept by Google's Firebase software library, which the site uses to load its content: the date it last reported usage to Google. It identifies no one and we do not use it. IP addresses are used momentarily by the hosting platform to deliver the site and, for crawlers, to check that a request really comes from the company it claims to be from. They are not stored in our statistics. We keep no location data and no record of individual visits or visitors.

Why, and your rights

This is done on the basis of legitimate interests: understanding how the site is found and used, and whether search and AI services can read it. Because the statistics cannot identify an individual, there is nothing in them to look up, correct or delete. Google, as the hosting provider, processes request data under its own terms. If you email me, I use your details only to reply.
